Add picture(s)
It would be great if you could add a picture to your projects or tasks. Sometimes you have the "Someday" items that by the time you get to them, you don't remember exactly what it was, but if you could put a picture with it, it would remind you and also keep you inspired.
4 votesWe added support for photos in the new app. You can take photos right from the app on your computer or mobile device and attach then to your tasks. If you are not yet on the new version here is how to get on it:

Add a visual flag (Like the Note indicator) on the Task line to indicate that an attachment exists.
A note identifier is visible to the user from the TAsk list when a NOte has been added to the item. However, if a File is attached to a Task item, there is no visible way to know unless you view the details of the task.

Hyperlinks have GOT to be clickable
If the point of GID is to make my life easier, I shouldn't have to select, copy and paste hyperlinks. Make them clickable, please. It's almost 2015 :)

Change german translation for "scheduled" from "Terminiert" to "Wiedervorlage"
Based on the original GID method "Wiedervorlage" is the commonly used German term for "Scheduled"

TODAY folder shows all tasks (= repeating and scheduled tasks)
TODAY folder shows all tasks (= repeating and scheduled tasks)
On a daily routine I do tasks every single morning eg. check your yearly goals / check your bank account / define your maintask for today / etc.
To focus on what’s important TODAY I'd love to check on a busy day only my TODAY folder. And I would also like to tick them after I finished them. On the next day these repeating/daily tasks are all again in my TODAY folder waiting for me. That would be awesome.
3 votesWe just added the ability to select which folder you would like recurring tasks to go into. The default is Inbox but you can change this when you edit or add the recurring task:
- Open the recurring task
- Click “this task repeats”
- Chance the option for “New Tasks will be created in”This change is live in the web app and will come to the native apps in the next update..

Add a setting to specify if new tasks are added to the top or bottom of the list in their designated Focus area
Currently when I add a new task it is automatically added to the top of the list in their designated Focus area. Is there a setting to specify that new tasks are added to the bottom of the list in their designated Focus area? Logic: I can set up the order of tasks in focus areas (such as Today, Next, Someday) in order of priority. When new items are added on the fly and are automatically placed at the top of these lists, they often steal focus from the tasks that need my priority.

Hi there!
I know this response is long over due. Originally, we wanted to keep all feedback alive FOREVER but we need to keep the numbers low in order to keep productive. Hence, we are spring cleaning…
Anyway, I wanted to let you know that we just released Get It Done 5 with some exciting new features, including this one you requested so long ago (I know!). You can read more about it here: http://blog.getitdoneapp.com/2017/02/01-all-new-get-it-done-task-app/
Anyway, if you’re still looking, feel free to come back. Thanks again for your feedback.

Have Focus menu edit function so that people can create an additional focus item such as "initiated"
often I have tasks that are initiated but waiting on information or input from others. At the moment they have to remain in the Today focus and this means my immediate task list appears longer than it should - somewhat daunting. Also means it is difficult to identify which tasks I am yet to initiate from those I already have.
I have been using the tags function but I am not happy with this as my today task list does not shorten.
If you had a focus edit function so we could add additional focuses as we need them that…20 votesHi there!
Thank you for your feedback. I wanted to explain our stance before closing the feedback.
There is a way for you to create a custom Focus Areas. See here for details:
https://marcucio.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/25000006698-how-do-i-create-a-custom-focus-area-i-e-waiting-for-folder-We are hesitant to add extra Focus Areas since we’d like to stay true to David Allen’s methodology. Since we keep our apps very simple and flexible, our users actually told us of this workaround. :)
I hope you can understand our stance. Thanks again for your idea and keep the feedback coming!

Allow the creation of project templates that can be renamed, copied and moved to different areas
If you have repetitive projects that utilize the same task list (produce newsletter, create monthly menu, etc.), it would be nice to set them up as templates. To create a new project, you would access the template, copy it and edit the title to a new project, then move it to the specified area.

Either fix or remove the "after completion" repeating option.
Currently, the "after completion" repeating option allows the user to set days, weeks and months "after completion", but after it's saved, the option reverts back to days. As a result, an item that was set to repeat 6 months after last completion pops up 6 days after, and that's rather confusing. If it can't be fixed, then to reduce confusion, remove the option, because its a flawed function.

Change width of left column
Create the ability to drag the width of the left column wider to see more of the task title.
10 votesThank you for submitting this feedback. We’ve widen the left navigation bar! There are two sizes now (small and large). If we detect a larger screen space, we will use the larger navigation bar.
We’ve also added a tool tip if your project names still won’t fit. Just hover your mouse over the project name and the complete Project name should appear.
If you are still with us, give it a go and let us know if this is still an issue for you or if you need something different.
If you are not with us and are still looking, come give us another try! We’ve released the new Get It Done Version 5 with some exciting new features. Read more about it here: http://blog.getitdoneapp.com/2017/02/01-all-new-get-it-done-task-app/

Be able to set a folder as a default such as Today
Having the ability to set a folder to be a default would be a great addition. Currently it goes to inbox, but when I fire the app up I would really like to know what I am doing today

no question you absolutely need to be able to export to email individual tasks or notes within a task from the Ipad.
No question you absolutely need to be able to export to an email both individual tasks (not the entire task list) as well as being able to export notes within a task. You would sell many more of these apps with that feature.

I know this response is long over due. You can now email a single task or a whole task list to someone outside of Get It Done. Steps can be found here:
