      Hi there!

Thank you for your feedback. I know this response is long over due. Originally, we wanted to keep all feedback alive FOREVER but we need to keep the numbers low in order to keep productive. Hence, we are spring cleaning…

There is a way for you to create a custom Focus Areas. See here for details:

We are hesitant to add extra Focus Areas since we’d like to stay true to David Allen’s methodology. Since we keep our apps very simple and flexible, our users actually told us of this workaround. :)

If you are still with us, give it a go and let us know if this is still an issue for you or if you need something different.

If you are not with us and are still looking, come give us another try! We’ve released the new Get It Done Version 5 with some exciting…

    • Add a folder where I can store a few relevent files for use on the move.

A few MB's of space for a folder would be really handy so I could pop files in when I am away from work.

        Hi Peter!

I know this response is long over due. Originally, we wanted to keep all feedback alive FOREVER but we need to keep the numbers low in order to keep productive. Hence, we are spring cleaning…

Anyway, I wanted to let you know that we released Get It Done 5 with some exciting new features. You can read more about it here: http://blog.getitdoneapp.com/2017/02/01-all-new-get-it-done-task-app/. You can now attach files or links to files from Google Docs, Dropbox, Box, and Evernote.

Anyway, if you’re still looking, feel free to come back. Thanks again for your feedback.

      • Add a Later box, similar to Next and Someday.

Would like to use for imminent items that are NOT Next on a project, but not "Someday" either. Someday seems like it may never happen, but these items have to happen for a project, they're just not the Next action.

        • Have Focus menu edit function so that people can create an additional focus item such as "initiated"

often I have tasks that are initiated but waiting on information or input from others. At the moment they have to remain in the Today focus and this means my immediate task list appears longer than it should - somewhat daunting. Also means it is difficult to identify which tasks I am yet to initiate from those I already have.
I have been using the tags function but I am not happy with this as my today task list does not shorten.
If you had a focus edit function so we could add additional focuses as we need them that…

          • Have 'Reference' as an extra 'Area of Focus' i.e. Today/Next/Scheduled/Someday/Reference

It would be useful to have 'Reference' as an extra Area of Focus. Not quite David Allen, but reference items are handy to have within the app (eg contact details/noteable dates/etc) Even though you can tag them as reference, they do still get lost amongst the real 'next action someday' items. It is easier now that you can sort tasks, but a separate reference area of focus would work better.

              • no question you absolutely need to be able to export to email individual tasks or notes within a task from the Ipad.

No question you absolutely need to be able to export to an email both individual tasks (not the entire task list) as well as being able to export notes within a task. You would sell many more of these apps with that feature.

                  Hi there!

I know this response is long over due. You can now email a single task or a whole task list to someone outside of Get It Done. Steps can be found here:

                • Email tasks without having to go out of GID

The ability to email anyone a task who is not a member of GID from within GID. There are times when you need to email someone (who is not a member of GID) to delegate or ask about a task. The problem now is you have to out of GID to do it. It would be great to be able to stay in GID. Thanks for all the improvements and speed the app has now!

                            • Order direction

I dont speak about order criteria, like due date, but only about the direction of the order.

At the moment, tasks order is "bottom to top" : the new task appears at the top. It would be a good thing to have a option to ask to order in the other direction : "top to bottom", with the new tasks appears at the bottom.

Not a big thing to do, and very annoying when the order is not the one you usually use (like in emails for example).

                                Hi Christophe!

Thank you for your feedback. I know this response is loooooong overdue. This was missed when we were going through clean up.

Looks like you are already using GID version 5 app. So you probably found out that this feature has already been implemented. You can switch the task order by changing that arrow next to “Add Task…” textfield. Let me know if you can’t find it.

                                Keep the feedback coming! Thanks.

                                Cheers,

                                Marcucio.com Team

Sometimes I like to keep my completed tasks within a project - but hate to see red!! if it's already complete.

                                • If you move a task to a different Area and delete the original Project, the task vanishes

I created a new Project assuming that it would be automatically be linked with the Specific Area I was already in. When I went to review the Task created in that Project it was not where I thought it would be. Because new Projects default to the first Area on your list of Areas, if you forget to change that selection, all new Tasks will end up in that Area. The fix seems simple... I assumed I could just edit the Project so that it would be under the correct Area, but the only options are Change Name, Archive or…

                                      • I would like to be able to email a specific task with its notes to an individual.

I manage a lot of different people and projects. I need to be able to email a task and it's notes to a specific individual. I do not see where that is available to share by email other than sharing the whole page. Not all of the individuals that I deal with have get it done nor what I want to set them up to share. This would be a tremendous tool for delegation and management.

We just added this to the web app yesterday and it should make it to the native apps very soon. You can email an entire list by going to “Import/Export → Email task list…” or an individual task by opening the task then “More → Email task…”.

                                        • Delete Task option in the Inbox

Find yourself no longer needing to have the task completed? Delete from inbox vs marking as complete and then having to go to Completed Items to delete it.
