Tasks With Subtasks, Convert to Outcomes/Projects Automatically!
This has already been asked for by several people.
Subtasks is a necessary feature! After all, David Allen defines projects as outcomes, which are themselves just multi-task...tasks. The corollary to this for GID is a subtask system.
Tasks with subtasks should automatically become Outcomes themselves. Being forced into defining "projects" at the outset is stifling to the creative process GTD is supposed to preserve.
I hope you, devs, can respond soon to one of these requests for subtasks for a task (not only tasks within a project). Thanks!

Calendar view, effort, subtasks
Some features of the Manage It app would be nice when you are the only member of a team and therefore use GetItDone instead of Manage It.
The Calendar View is very usefull including the time option of a task and the effort. This makes it possible to plan a day in the morning when meetings have also been scheduled for that day.

Colour-Coded Tags
Been an avid user of Todoist with coloured Tags, and currently trialling GID.
Being a visual person I really miss Coloured Tags. When you have multiple Tags on a single task, having the ability to see at a glance with colour-coding really helps3 votes -
Highlight a Task in colour so that I can quickly see the most important task to be done

Sync with google calendar, flexible times & dates
Sync GID with google calendar - with the flexibility to decide a time for the task, rather than it being automatically an all-day task. It would be great if we could use it for our planning into the calendar too and if we could add tasks straight into the GID from G Cal.

Ability to view All Tasks in an Area
I’d like to be able to view all of my tasks (inbox+today+next+scheduled+someday) in an Area so that I can get a single view of the big picture to allocate my time accordingly.
We can do this for Projects, which is great, but not enough for planning. For example, I might have 3 or 4 projects at once for my business - all of which are equally important (e.g., a customer project + an upcoming presentation + administrative tasks like taxes). I love Projects to let me focus on 1 area at a time. However, if I’m never able to see…

The ability to view all tasks in a given tag without having to create a Smart Group
I love the idea of Smart Groups for complex criteria, but it seems an unnecessary step to have to create a new smart group every time we create a new tag, just so that we can view all tasks within the tag.
Can you provide more natural ways to view all tasks in a tag - for example, clicking on a task’s tag brings up all the tasks with that tag. And also allow us to simply select a tag from a list to view al of its tasks (so we could also view them without first having to find…

Support other keyboards on iOS. E.g. Gboard
iOS allows custom keyboards to be used, e.g. Swipe typing.
GetItDone app always reverts to stock keyboard making entry slower.

Revisit Idea
You declined a popular idea on the grounds that it was incompatible with GTD methodology and you were trying to stay true. I am new to GTD, so perhaps I don't understand it enough to see how a Waiting box in the Focus Areas would not be true to his methodology. As I see it, the "Waiting" box is one of only three possible outcomes of work flow processing.
On his Work Flow graphic on page 156, the bottom line contains only three options: "Waiting", "Calendar", "Next Actions".
I thought my pre-fabbed "Areas" boxes corresponded to the GTD work flow…
9 votesFIrst we would like to say thank you to those that have taken the time to express their opinion on adding a “Waiting For” focus area as well as those who have voted for this change. We want you to know that we are listening. Our team has met and discussed your very valid points. We stand corrected and agree that adding a “Waiting For” focus area absolutely fits into David Allen’s methodology and it would enhance the functionality of our Get It Done app.
Our developers are currently working on this feature request and we will be sure to update you once we are ready to release the update.
We would like to clarify that in no way were we trying to increase our paid subscription plans by offering a workaround that is only included in our paid plans. We apologize if this is how our initial response was… -

Detailed info for Project
PROJECT should have some place to put info like major links or info about some details. Now we can do this only at task.

Add sorting by Project within a category.
If this is already there, I do not see it. I manage multiple projects within multiple categories. However when I am in a specific category I want to be focusing on the top priority for that day or time. I would like for Projects to be movable with in the list of my projects. Basically allow for sorting of projects. If this is already a capability please let me know. I know we can do it with tasks.

Drag&drop area to upload files within a task
There are Web-Apps who provide a little drag&drop area in order to upload a single or multiple files. I would really like to see this feature within an opened task.
