clean up the GUI
e.g., in the web version, the default window size for Edit Task forces the Project selector to wrap to the next line; in the mobile app, the font is much too large, wasting precious real estate.

enable the simple printing of a Note.
One has to "cut and paste" the contents of a note to somewhere (like Word) that is printable. Why not just be able to "print" on a right click??
6 votesThanks for the idea, we made printing of individual tasks and notes better in the new app. If you are not yet on the new version here is how to get on it:
http://blog.getitdoneapp.com/2017/02/all-new-get-it-done-task-app/
To Print an individual task;
- Go to https://app4.getitdoneapp.com
- Click on the task you would like to print
- Click “More actions”
- Click “Print…” -
Add a field showing the number of uncompleted tasks assigned or delegated to each person similar to the inbox
Add a field showing the number of uncompleted tasks assigned to each person in the "people" list. Just like the number of tasks showing in inbox, today, etc.

Allow the creation of project templates that can be renamed, copied and moved to different areas
If you have repetitive projects that utilize the same task list (produce newsletter, create monthly menu, etc.), it would be nice to set them up as templates. To create a new project, you would access the template, copy it and edit the title to a new project, then move it to the specified area.
6 votesThis can now be accomplished with our new batch add functionality:

Hi there!
Thank you for your feedback. I know this response is long over due. Originally, we wanted to keep all feedback alive FOREVER but we need to keep the numbers low in order to keep productive. Hence, we are spring cleaning…
There is a way for you to create a custom Focus Areas. See here for details:
https://marcucio.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/25000006698-how-do-i-create-a-custom-focus-area-i-e-waiting-for-folder-We are hesitant to add extra Focus Areas since we’d like to stay true to David Allen’s methodology. Since we keep our apps very simple and flexible, our users actually told us of this workaround. :)
If you are still with us, give it a go and let us know if this is still an issue for you or if you need something different.
If you are not with us and are still looking, come give us another try! We’ve released the new Get It Done Version 5 with some exciting…

Add task counts for People
I would like to see how many tasks I've assigned to one of my "People" including how many are due/overdue (just like the counts that exist next to my Inbox, Today, etc.)
6 votesWe have task counts for people in the new app.

The new Get It Done is much better at collaboration. Comment on tasks assign tasks, reply to emails to add comments on tasks, and more. Goto this link to learn how to get on the new app:

Add a setting to specify if new tasks are added to the top or bottom of the list in their designated Focus area
Currently when I add a new task it is automatically added to the top of the list in their designated Focus area. Is there a setting to specify that new tasks are added to the bottom of the list in their designated Focus area? Logic: I can set up the order of tasks in focus areas (such as Today, Next, Someday) in order of priority. When new items are added on the fly and are automatically placed at the top of these lists, they often steal focus from the tasks that need my priority.

Either fix or remove the "after completion" repeating option.
Currently, the "after completion" repeating option allows the user to set days, weeks and months "after completion", but after it's saved, the option reverts back to days. As a result, an item that was set to repeat 6 months after last completion pops up 6 days after, and that's rather confusing. If it can't be fixed, then to reduce confusion, remove the option, because its a flawed function.

automatic sync to ipad and iphone
i dont want to have to wait for the ipad and iphone app to "sync changes from server" every time i open it...sometimes it can be very slow depending on # of changes or my internet connection

Control which "folder" a scheduled task mov
It currently seems to be random whether a scheduled task or re-occurring task appears in the "Inbox", "Next", or "Today" area when it is moved out of "Scheduled." Ideally, I would like to be able to control this.
5 votesWe just added the ability to select which folder you would like recurring tasks to go into. The default is Inbox but you can change this when you edit or add the recurring task:
- Open the recurring task
- Click “this task repeats”
- Chance the option for “New Tasks will be created in”This change is live in the web app and will come to the native apps in the next update..

no question you absolutely need to be able to export to email individual tasks or notes within a task from the Ipad.
No question you absolutely need to be able to export to an email both individual tasks (not the entire task list) as well as being able to export notes within a task. You would sell many more of these apps with that feature.

I know this response is long over due. You can now email a single task or a whole task list to someone outside of Get It Done. Steps can be found here:

Hyperlinks have GOT to be clickable
If the point of GID is to make my life easier, I shouldn't have to select, copy and paste hyperlinks. Make them clickable, please. It's almost 2015 :)

Delete Task option in the Inbox
Find yourself no longer needing to have the task completed? Delete from inbox vs marking as complete and then having to go to Completed Items to delete it.
