Emails (and not all being tasks) and formatting
Not all emails into GID are tasks. Many are responses and show as tasks when in GID. This is problematic. They are needed for clarity but are not tasks.
Additionally the formatting of emails are mostly lost, and in many case you have to select the Task notes rather than the task itself to see the full email in a somewhat readable manner.
Cure the formatting and display on emailed in tasks.
Allow Emailed in "Tasks" to be attached to previous tasks rather than be stand alone tasks.

When Assigned a task
When a task is assigned to you, create a Smart Group Tag with the Group called Assigned By and with the Tag the person name. Maybe the Tag need to be pre-pended by From: (ie From: Porky Pig)
I know you already display this in the various lists but it is not selectable to filter like Smart Groups and Tags are.
A benefit of the assignment of tasks for Managers is you can select the persons name from the People list when you meet with them, and see all the tasks you have assigned them (good for touching base). But…

Adding People contacts in Team Accounts
It would be nice if when you were adding people contacts, it would populate or allow you to select from team members already added to the team account.

Global Inbox even if in specific Area
When you narrow your focus to a specific Area you only see that areas Inbox. This is problematic if you have new items coming into GID that will only show if the Area is set to "All Areas". It would be nice if the Inbox is global (showing all inbox items even when in specific Area) or if you can set a toggle to allow the inbox items globally even when you have selected a specific Area.

Enable tasks of a project to be assigned to different areas
Your app is very nice and useful, but for me, projects are too restrictive so I rarely use them.
My projects dont have a fixed area (they have "no area") but they generate tasks that take place in many different areas, eg. phone calls, meetings, office work, customer visits, ...
Currently, the app can't assign a task to a different area than the one of the project. If I have an "office building" project, my tasks will be : call the architect (area = phonecalls), go and see the electrical work progression (area = external visit), buy a new security…

The ability to view all tasks in a given tag without having to create a Smart Group
I love the idea of Smart Groups for complex criteria, but it seems an unnecessary step to have to create a new smart group every time we create a new tag, just so that we can view all tasks within the tag.
Can you provide more natural ways to view all tasks in a tag - for example, clicking on a task’s tag brings up all the tasks with that tag. And also allow us to simply select a tag from a list to view al of its tasks (so we could also view them without first having to find…

Be able to attach times as well as dates in "scheduled for review"
Occasionally, I would like to move something off my list right now, but still be reminded about it in the afternoon. (For example when it's something I'm "waiting for" that requires quick turnaround.)

Smart search function
It would be nice to be able to search by specific dates: this week, next week, this month, next month, interval search. An other good option would be to be able to list in one window all of the (not ready) tasks which are marked with a specific tag (f.e.: high), independently from the are, projects, etc., they are belong to.

Allow tasks to be linked so they can be executed sequentially.
Some tasks need to be linked so they can follow one after another. Would be great if they automatically got dropped in appropriate 'next' or 'today' buckets as well.
